At A Later Date - Golden Ridge Cemetery
Sylvia was born on March 25, 1936 in Loon Lake, Sask to parents Lloyd and Sarha Lay. Sylvia grew up on a farm outside of Golden Ridge, Sask. with her parents and brother Lloyd.
On Aprril 6, 1953 at age 17 she married Roman Sydia. They moved to Roman's Land East of Golden Ridge and ran the Golden Ridge Store. They later moved to Roman's parents yard in 1954. During this time they had three sons, Dale, Ron and Glenn. From there they moved the family to their forever home just a few miles South, where they spent their life farming.
Sylvia loved life on the farm. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening and helping Roman. The farrm was always a busy place with lots of people and Sylvia loved having company. There was always room at the table for one more.
Later on Sylvia and Roman enjoyed travelling and seen much of North America. Upon Roman's passing in 1998, Sylvia left the farm and settled in Cold Lake, AB. at Points West Lodge, where she enjoyed greatly and made many new friends.
Sylvia lived life enjoying her family and friends and had a special love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Passed away July 5, 2015, Edmonton, AB.
